the super bowl this year turned out to be one of my all time favorites. last year we had just moved here and didn't know anyone so we just watched it at home alone. crazy how much can change in a year! this year we headed over to my friend rachels house and watched it there with 2 of our other girl fiends and their families. it was an absolute blast! there is something about hanging with your best friends, husbands all getting along and a million kids running around that just makes for a great day! i will say there was one part that i did not love... they decided to do a crawfish boil... now if you know me at all you know that i hate all seafood. all seafood. it grosses me out. especially seafood that still looks like the animal while you eat it.. like crawfish. yuck, yuck, and more yuck. but it was fine because everyone else loved it and the kids absolutely loved running around holding the live ones even though i was so scared one of them was going to touch me with one. i'm getting the willies just thinking about it now. each of the kids took one home for a "pet" and even though i said absolutely not somehow curtis snuck one in the car and didn't tell me about it until we were half way home. (so not cool). i made him release that sucker before we went to bed that night.
now i personally didn't care who won there super bowl but i am happy that denver won only because my friends wanted them to win so i'm happy for them! for me it was a great day spent with great friends making great memories. and that's all i need!
